STEMM has supplied its Orange peel grabs for the Waste Treatment Center of Alt Empordà. These are electrohydraulic type PH6-5500-0,9 with a capacity of 5.5 m3 that have been tested and tested continuously for 48 hours before shipment, by means of an automate, PLC FOR TESTINGS.
These grabs are double suspension to facilitate good stability and balance. They are mounted on overhead cranes of the GH brand.
The shells (claws) of these grabs are of the HALF OPEN type, built with high limit steels and wear resistant, subjected to a standardized and stabilized treatment to avoid welding tensions. The hydraulic group is equipped with an exclusive STEMM system that allows energy recovery in each maneuver, which amortizes the grab daily.
The cylinders of the grabs are provided with removable defenses, which duly protect all the impurities that may fall on them the chromed rods of the cylinders. These grabs are provided with an electrical cabinet, which is protected by a metallic defense, which has a central opening that allows to see the signaling lamps of all grabss maneuvers, even if there were incidents or alarm signals.
The claws of these grabs are of a progressive profile that allows for more perfect and optimum filling within the grabs, which has been developed specifically for the handling of rubbish, waste, and domestic refuses.
These orange peel grabs are provided with special joints FREE OF LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE that do not require any oiling operation no attention by the staff of the plant.
These grabs work in a semiautomatic process but have been equipped with sensors and peripherals to that they can develop their work in a fully automatic process.
